Rob Chaiken was born in Falls Church, Virginia on March 26, 1966. He attended the University of Texas in Austin, where he graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He attended law school at the University of Florida and graduated from law school in 1991. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and is a member of the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He is also a member of the American Association for Justice and Texas Trial Lawyers Association.
Rob began his legal career working for the largest downtown Fort Worth, Texas law firm and focused his practice initially on the defense of large complex commercial cases and personal injury defense. Over time, he developed his practice to include the representation of individuals in various catastrophic personal injury matters. He also represents individuals and businesses in commercial matters. In 1998, he decided to start the firm and combine his practice skills with those of his two brothers to form a full service trial practice and transactional firm without the bureaucratic limitations of a large firm.
Rob has handled cases all over the country from Miami to Los Angeles in state and federal courts. He has also spent a considerable amount of his practice trying lawsuits in smaller and more rural communities across the State of Texas.
He has helped recover millions of dollars for his clients in a variety of different matters which include the following:
1. Medical Malpractice verdict in excess of $4 million in favor of a home health care patient.
2. Nursing Home Malpractice verdict in excess of $50 million which was one of the top verdicts nationwide in 2001.
3. Related limited partnership disputes before the American Arbitration Association resulting in the recovery of in excess of $3 million dollars for a business client.
4. Recovery of hundreds of thousands of dollars for clients injured in various construction site and workplace accidents, including heavy equipment accidents, crane accidents, elevator accidents.
5. Recovery of almost $1 million dollars in a business fraud/distributorship dispute.
6. Wrongful Death verdict against public trucking company and driver for $1.26 million dollars in February, 2004 which is reportedly one of the largest personal injury verdicts rendered in Hopkins County, Texas.
Rob is happily married with two children and spends his spare time enjoying his family.
